Alan Silberstein collaboration model

The story behind the birth of this dream collaboration

Why this color scheme? Why the second hand? There's a reason for everything.

Behind the Scenes of the Meistersinger x Alan Silberstein Limited Edition Model

"Why isn't there blue in this watch?"
"Why a second hand on a single-hand watch?"
"What is the 'Alain Silberstein' quality that is embodied in this watch?"

All of it has meaning.
And there's a story behind it: the colors, the designs, the details, and even the dialogue between the brands.

We introduce the secret story behind this model, revealed in a conversation with Alan Silberstein.

"Philosophy" and "movement" incorporated into the design

This collaboration model is a perfect fusion of Meistersinger's "single-hand watch" philosophy and Alain Silberstein's artistic design .

Alain had a special attachment to this model when designing it, and the keywords he valued were "respect for history" and "movement that is visually enjoyable."

A tribute to single-handed

Alain Silberstein noted that the subscription watches created by Abraham-Louis Breguet , a great figure in the history of watches, had a single hand .

This model is based on the idea of paying homage to this historical background and naturally resonating with Meistersinger's single-hand philosophy . The design, featuring small circles on the 15-minute and 45-minute indexes , is also a homage to Breguet.

The details are full of Alain's attention to detail and are designed to soften the passage of time and allow for visual enjoyment .

A dial that gives a sense of movement

"A watch is the art of movement" - Alain Silberstein. This model is infused with his aesthetic, which places emphasis on visual "movement."

The central red hand is made of lacquer and has a slight peak towards the center, which reflects light and makes it shine from all angles .

✅Meistersinger watches are generally designed without a second hand, but this time we have chosen to add a flowing gold second hand . This is in line with Alain's philosophy of emphasizing movement .

The 12, 3, 6, and 9 indexes are accented with gold , creating a three-dimensional dial with depth. The contrast with the silver MeisterSinger logo accentuates the luxury feel.

The true meaning of the collaboration: A special design born from harmony

This model is more than just a collaboration. It is a special project that truly combines Meistersinger's philosophy of "slowly enjoying time" with Alan Silberstein's philosophy of "visually pleasing design."

In fact, Alan himself said:
"Collaboration is about finding new expressions while respecting each other's aesthetics."

As if to embody this idea, this model is slightly more understated than his other works . However, this is by no means "modest"; it is the result of prioritizing harmony with the Meistersinger brand philosophy .

It is truly a "product of resonance" born from mutual respect for each other's worldviews.

The meaning of color: The choice not to use, the color to make it shine

One aspect of the design that shows particular attention to detail is the use of color.

In many of his previous works, Alan Silberstein has adopted a unique color code : red = hour hand, blue = minute hand, and yellow = second hand .

However, this model has a single hand, meaning it has no minute hand , so naturally there is no blue . This is not a deliberate "omission," but rather a choice made to remain faithful to Alain's color policy .

Instead, a flowing gold hand was used as the second hand.
Originally, Alain's second hand color was "yellow," but this time , in line with the worldview of MeisterSinger, especially the Kaenos model , he has replaced it with the subdued shine of gold, while retaining that meaning. It is not just a color change, but a design choice that connects the aesthetics of both brands .

This is a truly unique use of color by Alain, who creates both "artistic movement" and "luxury." There is a philosophy behind the "subtraction" and "addition" of color.
